She is remembered as a loyal and generous mother who always lit up any room she walked into, and now her legacy continues in the hearts of her young daughters, Tahlia, Kiara and Harper. Cassy\u2019s girls have teamed up again with their neighbour and friends to honour their beloved mum with a symbol with deep meaning to the family \u2013 Lion Cubs. During Cassy\u2019s lung cancer battle, she fought like a lioness.<\/p>\n<p>The girls plan to gift a handmade Cassy Morris Cub to every generous supporter who has left a gift in their Will to Lung Foundation Australia. I was not aware of the term COPD until late 2006 when we returned to Australia. Even though Bill had the condition I feel that we knew very little about it until the last two years \u2026  <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u201c(yet) Bill was always very positive and tried to ease the burden on me of him having a chronic condition.\u201d <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u201cWe wanted to live to be very old\u00a0together.\u201d <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Bill\u00a0and Caroline were passionate advocates for lung health\u00a0and worked tirelessly over many years to improve the lives of those living with not only COPD,\u00a0but all lung conditions.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Bill made a lasting impact and a real difference in the lung health community. Even in his final years he remained heavily involved with Lung Foundation Australia and our support programs.  <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u201cWe both really appreciated the support of the folks at Lung Foundation Australia. The reality is that the generous gifts left in Wills received by Lung Foundation Australia is very different. They have come from ordinary, hardworking people.
